Mike and Mel were married at Sirromet Wines at Mt Cotton in South East Qld, in the corridor
between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Sirromet's grounds offers Brisbane wedding
photographers a spectacular range of photographic opportunities which range from vineyards,
grass fields, dirt roads, water-features , iron sheds, gardens and wine cellars.
Mel used hair and makeup artists () who did a fantastic job getting her and the 5 bridesmaids
ready on time. Using experienced hair and makeup artists who understand that makeup
and hair needs to hold up to scrutiny for an entire day of celebration is the best advice
I can give to brides. Arriving at Sirromet Mike and his team of
groomsmen were doing a wonderful impression of cats on a hot tin roof. Clearly the calm
and confidence of the ladies was not to be found in abundance with their male counterparts.
As the procession of Jaguars floated along the drive the music began to play and a hush
of expectation descended over the guests. Alighting from their vehicles, the bridesmaids
were met mid ailse by the groomsman and escorted down the aisle. Mel made her way down to Michael
with a parent on each arm. A part of the ceremony that I really enjoyed
was the butterfly release. I felt that it lent a fairytale quality to the service. One
of the butterflies was very accommodating and hung around for some photographs with
the rings after the ceremony had concluded. Walking around the grounds at Sirromet afforded
me plenty of opportunity to craft some spectacular images. Experienced photographers not only
see the artistic possibilities in a scene but are able to tailor the images to suit
the artistic tastes of the couple they have been commissioned by.
One aspect of my wedding photography that I feel sets me apart from other photographers
is that I am able to produce creative wedding photos that are diverse. From the elegant,
atmospheric and epic through to the candid and insightful, the range of images I present
to my couples is very broad. I attribute this to two considerations. Firstly,
with each of our Brisbane and Gold Coast wedding photography packages we offer as a standard
inclusion a couple shoot. During this time we discuss a range of ways to make the wedding
photos and the process of photographing itself, as natural and true to nature as possible.
From roleplaying key moments of the wedding day during this session it becomes an educational
process. The other consideration is that for Brisbane
and Gold Coast Wedding Photography, we stay until the conclusion of the reception. This
allows me to document friends, family and the people you had to invite while they are
in party mode. It also allows couples complete control over how they want the reception to
be ordered as there is no need to structure mock-ups of cake cutting and dancing etc around
when the photographer will be leaving. I shoot the real deal as it happens!
