Goo.. good evening, Mylène.
See, I stammered because I was going to say, 'Good evening, Laeticia'.
Laeticia?
Wasn't your character called 'Laeticia' in "Sous le soleil"?
You've already forgotten!
Ah yes I have, but you haven't, which is suprising!
Yeah, everyone has guilty pleasures. - Models!
For years I watched "Sous le soleil" without anybody knowing..
TF1's cult soap opera.
But you forgot about it. - No, I didn't.
You can't forget 4 months out there; it's very long.
True.
I'm very interested in something from your past.
You became famous with a CV that you kinda.. embroidered, embellished.
Well, I simply had never done anything.
So it was a beautiful example of a made-up CV.
I knew that an actress needs an agent.
It's necessary, else it's more complicated.
So I was desperately looking for an agent.
I knew you need to have some experience for an agent to be interested.
But I came straight from the South of France and I had no experience yet.
So what did you talk about in the CV?
I had absolutely nothing I could refer to
except a few American movies that I loved
but I couldn't say that I was in American movies before.
You starred with Bruce Willis, didn't you!
I came to see an agent.
There was a pile of CVs, all Hollywood-looking actors
Gorgeous (?)
And I remember I stole some CVs
and made mine based off them.
They belonged to a boy and a girl who could've become very famous
hadn't I taken their CVs that day.
You didn't know what to say about the CV when you used it, though.
They asked you questions about who you had worked with.
- So you didn't know what to say. - I didn't.. I didn't know my job well yet.
I'm learning it now.
When I came in the agent's office, my CV was so fake
with cinema, theater experience when I was just 20
that the agent actually met me just to know who'd lied so blatantly.
When she asked me questions, I tried to tell the truth.
She said she liked my nerves and I did right.
So did she give you a role directly?
Well, she advised me to take up drama lessons.
Which I did quickly. She then sent me to TV castings.
And my first casting was a success.
It was my famous part in "Sous le Soleil".
Before that, you went to law school.
- I did. - How long?
- Not long. - 45 minutes?
- Almost!
Well, no, nine months.
- What did you learn from it?
I'm not meant for this field.
College, lectures, rigor, diligence.. it's never been my cup of tea.
- Good, because in cinema, you don't need to be rigorous, diligent..
- Yes you do! but only for like 3 months.
You have to be intense during shooting.
And that's it.
The good thing with this job is, it's always changing.
In my case, I go for film shoots in foreign countries.
I also have fun in my spare time.
Good. Is music one of your passtimes?
Definitely. I love it.
I'd like to give you a CD that's a bit special because it was done by a soccer player.
Djibril Cissé.
I know him, obviously.
I support the soccer team of Marseilles.
So D. Cissé, an 'occasional' soccer player, so to speak,
is a very talented DJ
because he released this CD, which is a best of his favorite music.
It reveals a good knowledge of funk music.
And it's put together with a lot of rhythm.
It starts off relatively 'soft' and has a beautiful ending.
- Perfect for.. - Wild parties!
- For sleepless nights.
It has 15 tracks?
It's continuous.
Thanks very much.
Maybe you'll play it at your next party? I guess you went to bed late yesterday.
It was because of a film shoot; I wasn't partying.
I don't do much on Sundays.
Well, thank you for coming.
