Hi, I'm Anton Gunn, Director of External Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services. As men, we often don't talk about our health
or seek help until something goes wrong. It's up to each of us to take control of our
own health to ensure that we catch problems early and stay healthy as we get older.
Thankfully, the health care law signed by President Obama is removing many
of the obstacles that have stood in the way of our health in the past.
Today, we can take advantage of preventive care, like blood pressure and
cholesterol screenings, at no out-of-pocket cost.
And starting in October, we can sign up for quality, affordable
private health coverage through the new Marketplace opening up
in every state just by visiting Healthcare.gov.

It shouldn't take a health scare to make us realize that we aren't invincible.
Whether you're somebody's father, somebody's son, somebody's husband,
or somebody's friend, there are people who are counting on you to stay healthy.
As we celebrate National Men's Health Month and Father's Day, let's take care of them
by taking care of ourselves. Protect your future. Visit Healthcare.gov today.
