My name is Dave La Rose and I studied the Bachelor of Business Administration Program
at Grenville.
Completely changed my life. I was a basement dweller, didn't really have a social aspect,
wasn't confident in talking to people at all. Wasn't outspoken, was pretty shy.
Through the program, I just learned the value of my time that I can do things that make
a difference in people’s lives. It just totally exceeded my expectations in every
way... in the change that I got to see that I could make, but also in the change that
it made in me.
It has really helped me build my skills as a person going out in the world, and I was
able to get an amazing job just because of some of the experience and skills that I developed
in the program.
As a student, you have amazing opportunities to really focus on growing as a human being
and learning about your potential, and that's what the postsecondary experience should be
about.
So, a lot of people these days have a degree and a lot of people are coming out of school
and are finding it very difficult in the job market to get a job just because they have
a degree,
but being involved in your community in different projects like these really helps you become
more employable, be able to communicate better and build relationships with people more effectively
as well as see the value of your time.
