[Pamela:] With Occupational Therapy, you work one-on-one
with people and that's what I like to do.
[Bethany:] I work in a nursing home, so we work with patients,
trying to teach them adaptive techniques to get dressed, especially like after a stroke.
[Pamela:] We learn basic skills, how to do transfers, the different PAMs
that they have -- Physical Agent Modalities.
[Bethany:] It's a lot of ADL things -- Activities of Daily Living, so working with toileting
and functional transfers, functional standing, functional mobility.
[Pamela:] You have to be a real people person, someone who cares about people and is willing
to do just about anything for that person.
I like helping people and it was something that I wanted to do.
