Hello, I'm Shahram Forutan.
World Champion in Powerlifting.
Today I talk about the muscles you need to be good at squats.
Logically you need strong legs.
You have to train the different parts isolated.
Like glutes, hamstrings, calves and abductors.
So everything can get stronger by itself.
Basically you just do Squats and different isolation movements.
You can do leg press, leg extensions and everything else.
Your back and abductor muscles are also very important.
Because if you do squats...
The first part is mostly carried by your legs
The upper part is primarily carried by your back and abs.
You can't squat optimal if you only got strong legs
but a weak back and weak abs.
You probably can't squat to a straight up position very well.
So how I said strengthen your legs but also back and abs.
