I chose Fisher just because I wanted the small class sizes but I also wanted the big school feel
so we kind of get that because we are in the suburbs but were only five minutes away from downtown Rochester.
I chose to major in adolescent education special education and history.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher but I wasn’t sure what area I wanted to go into
so I just started a few history courses.
And then I went with Special Education too and I went for the middle school extension just cause I knew I wanted to teach middle school aged students.
So during my time here at Fisher I’ve been involved in a few different things
: I was a student orientation coordinator for two years, so I helped plan and facilitate
facilitate orientation, you know the theme, picking the team, and designing activities for the new incoming freshmen
freshmen it’s a lot of fun to be involved in. Um, the first generation
class assistant, which is kind of a peer advisor within the first generation program
so I just help out the freshmen in their transition to college
um I’ve been the student director of recruitment um events and programs for the admissions office for three years now

so just a lot of work through admissions um doing tours, helping out with open houses, incoming families.
My favorite dining hall meal on campus would have to be taco Tuesday.
. So every Tuesday either for lunch or dinner they’ll do tacos so that’s definitely my favorite.
Um you can do like a taco salad or just your general tacos, so definitely one of my favorites.
I think my favorite on campus hang out spot would have to be the cyber café we serve Starbucks coffee there
so it’s a good place to go when you have downtime in between classes, get some homework done. You know, hang out with friends

One of my favorite memories here at Fisher has been working on the Orientation team this past year I was one of the Student Orientation Coordinators
and I got to design and facilitate different activities and themes that we use for orientation.
So we went with the theme Fisher State of Mind so it was all Rochester themed
Rochester foods, Rochester attractions, and whatnot. Um it was just a lot of fun to plan and work with the other student orientation coordinators on that.
