My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. In order to make your wedding dance memorable, it's very important to pick your
music way in advance and to rehearse. It's nice to be spontaneous while you're doing
it if there's something amazing you could do, but the better you look on the dance floor,
the more people will clap and scream and applaud. It's also very possible to do a medley today.
It doesn't have to be one song. One could go from slow dancing to faster dancing to
an old fashioned Lindy to a Polka. Using lots of different dance steps and changing the
pace along the way is much more exciting than picking one song. But when you do it, know
the size dress you're going to wear, the type of dress you're going to wear--whether it's
tight-fitting or loose-fitting or it's a big-wide ball gown--make sure you can dance with your
shoes and with your dress to the music that you've practiced, hopefully, for the last
six months.
