Hi Everyone, today I'm going to show you how to create this Interesting looking Inverse Nail design with Flowers and Butterflies
It is primarily a stamping design but we are going to do a little bit of magic and transform it into the finishing piece
Every nail is a little bit different and since it is a stamping design, you can choose other patterns to recreate this look
Let me know which design is your favourite
As always start with a base coat to protect your nails from staining
Then apply a coat of a dark purple polish as the base colour on the index and ring finger
On the thumb, middle and pinky finger apply a white polish to alternate the colours
You can always choose other contrasting color combination to recreate this look base on your own preferences
Using Image Plate A43 available on my website we're going to start with the flower designs on the top
Apply a white stamping polish over the design
scrape off excess polish using the konad scraper, then transfer the image using the stamper
Check that the image is complete and roll it onto the nail
In between stamps, use polish remover to clean the image plate, stamper and scraper
then repeat steps for the remaining nails
If you like this image plate, you can checkout my tattoo nail tutorial also using this plate
If you're having trouble with the stamping process, Make sure you do the transfer as quickly as possible from the plate and onto the nail as fast as you can
If the nail polish dries up, it will prevent the full image from transferring successfully. So have everything you need close by and ready to use before you start
For the nails with the white background, use the opposite color to do the transfer
Another tip is to make sure between stamps, after you wipe away the excess polish from the plate and stamper
make sure both the surfaces are fully dried and free of dust and remover residue
Use acetone or a non oil based polish remover for the best result
Once all your nails are stamped, its time to create the inverse effect
Grab a liner brush and swirl it around the opening of a nail polish bottle and pick up some nail polish onto the brush
With a steady hand, drag a line at the end of the printed design and fill in the sectioned area
You want to slightly overlap the print to cover up some of the design to do the inverse side later
For the middle finger, I just decided to do a couple of lines instead of filling it in solid to create a variation to the designs
On the ring and pinky finger, i covered up some of the print like on the index finger
Next use a detail brush and extend the printed design onto the inverse side
For this particular print, all I had to do was to add some dots to extend the flower leaves on top
Then go over the print area that was covered up and replace the design with the inverse color
So depending on how much you want to freehand for the inverse side, you can decide how much of the print you want to cover up
You only need to do a little bit of touch up to replace the prints to make it look good
For the butterfly on the ring finger, have the image plate design close by as reference, and redraw the butterfly back to life
extend the design onto the inverse side, and add a couple of dots on the wings to match the design
To fill in the empty areas, apply clear coat as adhesive and place some complimentary colored rhinestones to decorate
For the middle finger, I went back and added a silver lining in between the purples
Once your done, finish with top coat to seal in the design
