In this video I'm going to show you how to use Smartsheet to create a dynamic sales
pipeline you can use collaboratively with your team
In this example we'll use the Simple Sales Pipeline from the template gallery
It's as easy to use as a spreadsheet but has amazing powers that will help you
and your reps be more productive very quickly
This pipeline include status, opportunity
contact, sales stage, forecast amount and other common pipeline fields that will
help automate your pipeline
it's easy to add information and modify the sheet to what works best for you
and your team
Your columns can contain text, numbers, and dates
Unlike a spreadsheet your pipeline can also be made smart with contact lists
drop-down menus, checkboxes and symbols
Each row in your sheet represents an opportunity in your pipeline
You can attach presentations, proposals, contracts and links directly to each
opportunity
In discussions you can capture notes from client meetings, emails, and other
information about the opportunity
And you can set reminders to stay on top of close dates
As you add opportunities to your pipeline you may want to structure it differently to
fit the way your team works
For example you can use hierarchy to group opportunities by product line or
by sales territory
You can view the pipeline in different ways
You can collapse rows to get a high level view of the pipeline
You can also filter opportunities by sales rep
or sort by deal size
Conditional formatting helps draw attention to key information
like sales in the contract stage
You can also view opportunities by expected close dates in the calendar view
When you're pipeline is set up the way you want it you can share it with your team
so each rep can manage the status of their own opportunities
Field reps can use Smartsheet Mobile to make updates on-site
It's easy to keep track of pipeline changes by setting alerts
so that you get notified right away when anything changes
If you want an update on an opportunity send an update request to your rep
right inside the pipeline
