Hello everyone! It's time for August favourites. I can't believe that summer is officially
over, but here it's not. It's going to be really hot until the end of November, so the
heat wave will continue. And if I'm honest, I'm really struggling right now because it's
so hot, I have to close all the windows because there are a lot of noisy cars around, so I
have to close everything, and it gets so hot. So yeah, it's quite challenging right now
for me. But anyway, let's start with the favourites. Today, I have a nice selection of food items,
some beauty items, and a couple of amazing books, and one youtuber. So let's jump right
in! My first favourite of this month and a huge discovery is food grade hydrogen peroxide.
I've heard about it for so long, but I always thought "oh, you know, peroxide is chemical,
it's the thing that they use for acne, the thing that they use to lighten the hair".
I never realized that this one something different. I kept seeing it in different articles about
healthy teeth and healthy gums, things like that. I just kept seeing it again, again,
and again until I got, I guess, curious enough, and I read more about it. I realized that
it's actually a natural thing. You can also find it in the nature - it rains down from
the sky with rain. What it does is it oxygenates your cells and oxygen is not a good environment
for all kinds of bacteria and so on. So what I've been using this for is a natural mouth
wash to help my teeth heal and also to help heal my gums. It's been working really well.
All I do is just mix this with the same amount of water and I use it as a mouthwash. Sometimes
I add some tea tree oil or peppermint oil as well. I love it so much. I heard that it
also whitens teeth if you use it for a longer time, at least three months. I think my teeth
are getting whiter, but I'm not sure yet, so I guess I'll update you about this a bit
later, in 2 or 3 months. But so far my gums have been so much more comfortable, and my
teeth are getting better, too, so I'm happy. Now let's move on to food, and my obsession
this month was lacto-fermentation of veggies and also raw dairy. So right now I'm fermenting
some fresh cream cheese from some raw goat milk, and it's so good. It's honestly so easy.
You just leave it there for 2 or 3 days at room temperature, and then you strain it.
That's all, and you have the best cream cheese or even quark - depends on how much you strain
it. So honestly, it's unbelievably tasty and so good for you. Right now, I also have my
other two favourites, which are fermented red peppers, and also fermented beetroots.
These are awesome. Fermented foods are so good for you because they replenish the bacteria
in your gut and they make your food digest so much better. Honestly, I think it makes
a huge difference to my skin. I think it's getting even better. My moods are getting
better, I have more energy. My digestion is getting better, so I definitely can attribute
that to the wonderful fermented foods. I'm definitely going to make more videos about
that in the future, so keep your eyes open for some more info on that. The next food
item is cold pressed organic flaxseed oil or linseed oil as it's also called. We use
it for two different things. We either mix it with some fresh homemade cream cheese and
eat them together like that or we put just a teaspoon in the homemade dressings for our
salads every single day. It's very high in Omega-3 which is why it's amazing because
we don't get much Omega-3 with our food generally. When you mix it with cottage cheese, it brings
more oxygen into your body, and cancers or any kind of bacteria, parasites, and so on
- they don't like the environment with lots of oxygen, so it's an awesome thing for anyone
with any kind of health problems. It's definitely very good for those suffering from acne. I
really really like it. My next favourite for this month is hemp seeds. I'd never tried
them before, but I read so much about them, so I just had to get them at my health shop
this month. They're wonderful because just like flaxseeds, they are very high in Omega-3,
but they're also quite high in Omega-6, and they have a ratio of 3:1. So that's the perfect
ratio for the human body. That's why they are considered the best food for the human
body. They're really really healthy for so many different things, and they're great for
acne, great for cancer - for anything, really. We add these to our porridge when it's already
ready in a plate on the table because you don't want to heat them and, you know, heat
all the amazing valuable oils. We also add them to our salads or eat them alone like
that. But they're so so good. I definitely recommend getting them. Also if you're vegan
or vegetarian and you need more protein, this is a great source for healthy and plant-based
protein. I guess it's time to move on to beauty favourites. So my first favourite for this
month is tea tree oil, and I know I've said that I'm not a big fan of it, but lately I
have become quite a fan of it. I've been using it in two different ways. I've been using
it in my shampoo or my vinegar rinse when I wash my hair to prevent any kind of scalp
problems, and I'm going to mention that in my haircare video, which is going to be the
next video, I think. But I've also been adding a drop or two to my cotton pad with rosewater
as a toner in the evenings, and I've been loving it so much. It's so refreshing on a
hot summer day, and I feel like my skin is so much more clear, beautiful, and my pores
have got much more refined. I think it might be tea tree oil. I really like it. So if you're
looking for a way to... If you're looking for some kind of clear skin remedy, this might
be a good one. But I find that applying it in that way is the best way. Just put a drop
or two on a wet cotton pad with rosewater and wipe your skin in that way, and it won't
dry you out. Last month, in my favourites, I mentioned the pumpkin seed oil, but I'm
going to mention it again, just because it's been even more a favourite of mine. I've used
it for even more things than last month. So I said I was using it as a moisturizer...
no, I actually didn't say that. I said I was using it as an oil cleansing oil for my face,
also as a moisturizer for my body. But this month, I've also started using it as a moisturizer
for my face. But every single day. Every single morning. It's the first time I've used any
kind of oil on my face every single morning, and it works so well, honestly. It's transforming
my skin. It's the first oil that can sit on my skin every single day without clogging
it at all. I think it's because it's high in linoleic acid, which doesn't clog pores.
So if you haven't tried pumpkin seed oil, definitely give it a try. It's amazing. It
smells so good. I've also been using that as an oil mask for my hair, and I think it's
awesome, so it's definitely a multi-tasker. Oh, by the way, it's amazing in salads as
well. It tastes so good. Alright, so we're done with food favourites and beauty favourites,
it's time to move on to my two favourite books. This month, I've been reading a lot about
candida and about liver and gallbladder cleanses - things like that. Two books stood out for
me this month. The first book is a very very famous book about healing candida or getting
rid of candida - I don't think you can heal candida, you can only get rid of it. It's
called the Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates. It's very famous. I think it's probably the
most famous book about candida, and it's awesome. It's helped so many people, and it describes
the whole protocol: what you need to do, you know, what food to eat, the lifestyle, and
everything like that. I have to say I don't agree with every single thing she says, for
example, she's against sourdough or mushrooms or blue cheeses. I don't think you need to
go as strict as that. I don't like all of the points, but there are a lot of very very
smart points. And there are some good recipes as well. It definitely gave me a much better
understanding of what candida is because it's been my problem for many years, and it does
resurface from time to time, so I'm always looking for ways to get rid of it permanently.
So if you're struggling with candida, acne, depression - anything like that, I think you
should read the book. It's really really useful. The next book I read is also closely related,
and it's called The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse by Andreas Moritz. It's also
super famous. Probably the most famous book about liver cleansing, and it's something
I'm going to do in a month's time from now, so the book really helped me to get a better
understanding of what it is. I think that liver congestion and acne, and candida - they
are all very closely related, and everything possibly could be caused just by liver congestion
or liver not detoxifying and not getting rid of toxins, parasites, etc. properly. So that's
my new theory. I don't know if that's true, but it makes a lot of sense and everything
is explained very well in the book. So in a month's time I'm going to do the cleanse
and in the meanwhile I'm preparing for it, reading as much as I can, so if you're interested
in cleansing your liver, definitely read the book. It's a must read for anybody who's interested
in healthier skin and a healthier body in general. I'll link to both of the books and
everything else down in the description box if you're wondering where to get them or,
you know, the exact titles and so on. Finally, it's time to talk about my favourite youtuber
this month, and it's CloudyApples. I'm sure you're probably already following her, she's
just awesome, she's growing at an incredible rate. I just think that she's the most talented
individual in the whole world. I can only dream of being as good as she is at making
videos. She studied Philosophy, so she is the deepest person you've ever seen, but she's
also gorgeous and she's inspirational, she has an amazing body. She's just perfect, really.
So check out her channel. I'll link to it in the description box. I'm sure you're going
to like it as much as I do if you aren't familiar with her channel yet. So I guess that's it.
These are my favourites. I hope that you find this interesting. I really love doing these
videos for some reason. I really like sharing my new discoveries with you. Every month I
think that I'm not going to have enough things to talk about, but every month there are lots
of them, lots of them, and lots of them. I guess I'm just the kind of person who likes
discovering new things, so I guess that's good for you, and good for me, so I can make
videos like that and have fun. Thanks so much for watching. I hope that you enjoyed it.
Please give me a thumbs up. Subscribe to my channel if you like my videos. Of course,
I love you so much like always, thanks so much for your support. I guess I'll see you
