- My name's Samara Bedwell, I'm a property manager
and I've been in the industry for 12 years,
looking after property across the Gold Coast, out to Ipswich
and all across Brisbane.
A lot of these units consist of shared antennas.
With the retune in Brisbane, we obtained the information that we could
on what we needed to do to get everybody ready.
We sent out that information to our landlords and our tenants
and contacted our antenna specialist
to make sure that they could test the equipment
and have everything ready to go.
We know that the retune is coming now to the Gold Coast, as well,
so what we're doing is we're talking to our landlords,
getting early information out to them so that they're ready.
My advice to other property managers
would be to find out the date that the retune is going to occur
for where they manage their properties,
to seek out advice from the website,
or contacting the landlords and tenants and getting them ready.
The simulcast period is giving you time to get ready, to test your equipment
to make sure everything's working and ready to go
for when the retune actually takes place.
So being ready early is probably the key to having this retune a success.
