Are leaving money on the table by not telling your customers about changes in your business?
I'm Denise O'Berry and you're watching the "Little Big Show."
Your place for bite sized tips that can have a big impact on your bottom line.
When you make a change in your business that will impact your customers, you want to make
sure and let them know. It's not just common courtesy, it's an opportunity
to touch base and make some potential new sales.
Day in and day out tiny advertisements are scattered throughout print and online media
about changes to businesses. Don't assume your customers will see those
miniscule announcements. They're very busy people.
It's your responsibility to make sure your customers know what's going on in your business.
You keep a database of customers, don't you? When you make a change in your business that
impacts them, let them know about it. People will continue to do business with your
company if you provide them with a consistent, repeatable result.
When you make a change in your business that makes that experience different, it could
result in unhappy customers. Some of them will just walk away and you'll
never hear from them again. It's way too tough and expensive to acquire
a new customer to let that happen. Each time you make a change in your business,
you have an opportunity to touch base with your customer.
And that way you can reinvigorate the connection. Make customer relationship management a priority
for your business. It's not just common courtesy, it can really
impact your bottom line. Are you missing out on opportunities to connect
with your customers? Do you have a question about what and when
you should do that? Please leave a message in the comments below.
