I babysit a range of children but
one of them was a child with autism spectrum disorders
and at the first time i can contact with speech language pathologist
when
one of them came to work with him in the house and I was like wow what is this
and see the progress from
you know this child not being able to say anything to saying hello and hi
or no you know it's just
little words but is was something that is just so great to me and i just wanted to be
able to be part of that process for someone else
within the field you can go anywhere you can work with kids you can work with adults
and even though when i came in here i just had a mindset to I want to work with children
with the classes I've taken you know and the interactions i seen and people i've shadowed
it's definitely allowed me to be a little more open to
as to what I might want to do with the major
