Hi, I’m Carlie from Close To My Heart. Every month,
Close To My Heart features a special promotion
called Stamp of the Month. During the promotion an
exclusive D-size stamp set is available for $5 that
month only when you purchase $50 or more in Close
To My Heart products. That’s 72% off the full
retail price. The September Stamp of the Month set
is called Poster Tidings and it features the
popular subway art look for a trendy addition to
your holiday projects. Let me show you some of the
beautiful artwork you can create with this stamp
set. Over here you can see on this page that I have
used the stamp set to create a focal point for my
page. And what I did is I actually stamped it three
different times, one time in black ink on my White
Daisy cardstock, and then I picked a couple of
words that I wanted to pull out that coordinated
with my photos. So I selected Fall and I stamped
that again in Crème Brule ink and then I picked
Family and I stamped that in Juniper ink. Then I
just went back with my Micro-Tip scissors, trimmed
the words out and laid them right over the top of
the words on the one that I stamped in black ink.
And then that way, it adds a little bit of a focal
point and it draws attention to the words that I wanted
to draw attention to that coordinate with my photo.
You’ll see I used the same stamp set over here on
this fun little subway art tile. Now you might
notice a little bit of a difference because if you
see on the stamp set, this one will stamp when you
ink it up, it will stamp the words, like I used
over here. But this one when you ink it up the
words will stay white and they won’t hold the color
and so that’s what I’ve done here. I’ve stamped it
in Bamboo and then I stamped it an additional three
more times but what I did is I stamped it on
Cranberry cardstock, Cocoa cardstock, and Olive
cardstock. Then I went back with my Craft Knife and
my Micro-Tips, trimmed the words out and popped
them up using 3-D Foam or just glued them right
down. I embellished and I added whatever I want to
make this fun easy little subway tile that can
decorate your home in the holidays. Another way
that you can use the stamp set is stamping it on a
card. And I have done it here on this White Daisy
piece and then I stamped it an additional time on
another White Daisy piece I stamped it in Ruby ink
but when I trimmed it, I actually trimmed it longer
so it created a band that would wrap all the way
around the card and cover the word Joy in, that I’d
stamped in Whisper so that made the Joy pop out and
it gives a fun little card that you can hand out to
your friends during the holidays. For the last
thing I want to show you that you can do with this
stamp set I’m going to actually show you how you
can build this fun card and create a little bit of
variety when using this stamp set. So, first what I
did is I stamped it in Juniper ink and then I went
through, and again, I selectively chose the words
that I wanted to highlight. So I just took my paper
trimmer and I made the cuts. I picked Home for the
Holidays right here. So I used my trimmer and I cut 63 00:02:59 --> 00:0301 that out and that way you get straight lines and
then I’m just going to add a little Tombow to the
back and I’m going to place it right here on my
White Daisy cardstock. And this is such a fun
simple way to add variety. You can just stamp the
image one time in Juniper but this just gives it a
little extra umph. And I’m adding the fun Twist
Ties. Just periodically I’ll throw embellishments
in and that just shakes it up a little bit because
the subway tile is really fun, but it is a solid
block. And so if you want to give a little bit of
variation to your design, you can add B&T. So this
is Background & Texture paper right here from the
Proplayer kit and I’m just going to throw that in
there. And then, I had these little Aqua Dots. And
the way that I like to apply these to my projects
is using my Piercing Tool. And I do this with my
Sparkles and my Opaques, I’ll just pick them up
with my Piercing Tool and then place them where
ever I want and push them down with my hand. I
won’t apply all of these just because it will take
a while but you kind of get the general idea. Then
you can continue placing your pieces that you’ve
cut from your stamp...More Twist Ties...these
actually are a really fun new product that we have.
They come in a longer length and you can twist
them, you can use them as borders, they are really
fun. I have just cut them down to the size that I
want them to be. Then I’m going to add a piece of
Washi tape. And I am going to let it hang over the
edge a little bit so when I’m ready I’ll just tuck
it under the back so I make sure that all of my
edges line up. Then I’ll just keep going. I’ve
picked Mistletoe to pull out of my subway art stamp
and then another piece of that Background & Texture
paper...And on top of that piece, I am actually
going to use these fun little wood shapes. I’ve
already added a Glue Dot to it and I’ll use my
Piercing Tool for that. And I’ll just place them
right there...in the middle. You can line them up
however you want. But the Piercing Tool really is
such a versatile tool. You can use it for so much
more than just poking holes because these little
pieces sometimes are hard to line up. And then the
very last piece I’m going to add is the Ho, Ho, Ho.
And you can see in just a matter of minutes I’ve
created a fun little focal piece for a card. As you
can see Stamp of the Month sets like Poster Tidings
are great for layouts, cards, and home décor
displays. To purchase the Stamp of the Month set,
