What do you think of the purported weight loss results from drinking green tea?
It is certainly healthier than drinking diet soda, coffee with butter in it or energy drinks.
If you drink green tea, you’re replacing unhealthy beverages with a healthy one.
I heard it aids weight loss via antioxidants and herbal properties.
Green tea has antioxidants, but you get a similar dose from a Green Goddess smoothie
or spinach.
I’d rather have the green tea. But I’ve heard that it increases your metabolism.
Caffeine increases the body’s metabolism, increasing the caloric burn rate. However,
it can make you anxious and that in turn may make you eat to relieve stress hormones.
Green tea isn’t as bad as coffee.
Yet it is worse than water, in that regard.
I heard it had antioxidants and anti-carcinogens in it.
Tomatoes and peppers have antioxidants. I don’t know what would be carcinogenic, but
I know that avoiding alcohol and tobacco is equivalent.
Green tea is supposed to be ultra-healthy.
It can clear your sinuses as well as curry, without the burning aftertaste.
Assuming it doesn’t burn your throat.
You can make it taste better if you don’t steep it too long. If it soaks too long, the
brew is bitter.
That’s the default flavor for coffee, and people still drink that.
Only because they add so much sugar and milk. One of the benefits of green tea is that we
typically don’t add sugar, which we do even with brown tea.
Green tea is superior to black tea for weight loss results.
They are derived from the same plant. The main difference is that black tea is processed
more, so it has fewer plant sterols and other nutrients.
I heard it can lower your cholesterol levels.
It interacts with the triglycerides in the body, lowering them. However, that doesn’t
make it a fat blaster.
It will be if it replaces my Mountain Dew habit.
