Hey loves! So, this last week, my girlfriends and I headed to Coachella, which -- if you
don't know what that is it- is a three day music festival in the middle of the desert
in California. There are five stages of bands and djs playing all day, all night long, thousands
and thousands of people. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to show you some of the looks
from my weekend! Before we left, I had my very favorite nail artist, Maya Tanaka, come
over and gel up my nails. She is incredible. I doodled out the designs, and she brought
them to life. No two nails were alike. They were random and bright, and they lasted all
weekend long. And, by the way, do you have a favorite nail trend right now?I love trying
new things, so please let me know in the comments below! I kept my makeup pretty simple and
neutral -- lots of bronzer, of course! My eos lip balm was definitely a lifesaver though,
being that it was so dry and windy in the desert. And then, occasionally, I would wing
my top eyelids, and I always wore a lot of mascara. For the drive there, I wore this
bright button down from Target and my black lace Toms. I also wore cuffed jean shorts
from Joe's Jeans, and you'll also notice that I brought plenty of Stella and Dot accessories
to mix and match for the weekend. My bright blue tote is actually Stella and Dot, as well,
and then -- of course -- I have my must-have Rebecca Minkoff purse in bright pink. I also
brought it in two other styles and colors, which you'll see in a little bit. For the
first day of the festival, I wore this bright orange lace bandeau top and long high-waisted
cotton skirt by Free People. I love this skirt because it was long, so it kind of kept my
legs warm, but there was also a slit in it, so it kept air out, let me move around and
all that good stuff. I wore these Chinese Laundry beaded zip up sandals, which were
super comfortable, but my pedicure definitely is tragic and got DESTROYED while dancing.
I kept all my stuff in this five-zip Rebecca Minkoff bag, which I actually got for 50%
off from a Facebook promo -- uh, yes! And then I always tied a long sleeve shirt onto
my purses each day, in case I got cold. I finished the look with some bracelets and
wraps from Stella and Dot, and then I have these red and white sunglasses that I was
obsessed with. I found them at some little random boutique, and I'm so happy that I didn't
lose them over the weekend. For day two, I wore this tie-dye knit top by All Saints,
that has quickly become one of my summer favorites. I wore my black chucks, which I thought would
protect my toes a little more than sandals, but I was so wrong. Blisters galore! And then,
underneath, I had a bikini top and these Free People shorts, which I love the color of these
shorts. Once again, I brought a Rebecca Minkoff bag -- these babes are so great for storage.
This was the perfect pop of color. And then I wore a single friendship bracelet from Stella
and Dot, and -- of course -- I always need something from Hothead Accessories for a weekend
like this. This is one of my favorite headbands from their newest collection. For the last
day, I recycled my over-sized red sunnies, green purse, red wrap bracelets and my beaded
sandals. The black lace crop top is from NastyGal, and these super fun colorful high-waisted
pajama jogger shorts are by BCBG -- I want to wear them ALL THE TIME -- they're so festive,
so comfortable! It got to be freezing in the desert, but we were dancing all night long
and had the time of our lives. I seriously cannot wait until next year. This was my first
year and hopefully the first of many. Although, I have to say, my feet could probably wait
-- check them out, they're so unfortunate, it's gross! And here's the aftermath of my
hair, after getting caught in a major wind and sand storm. Umm... so worth it, I think!
Anyway, please let me know what song you're feeling these days in the comments below.
