Of course, there are the aggrieved like in any contest.
Some people didn’t get a prize, some countries wanted to get more prizes.
This ceremony is the fifth, and when people who were awarded previously have been presented today,
I realized that all of them are worthy people;
and we cannot say about any of them that they didn’t deserve the prize.
So, we will do our best to control that only worthy people will be awarded in the future.
This year the well-known Azerbaijani writer Maksud Ibragimbekov,

This is an award of friendship; an award of those states, people, nations
who have been living together for centuries.
It is very important today.
We should be together, be friends, preserve a common cultural, educational, scientific space,
and our communication language – the Great Russian language.
Our Moscow University does its best to maintain our common home.
We have five branches, 3.5 thousand students from the CIS countries are being studied.
We have close relations and treaties on cooperation with the North Caucasus universities
– Kabardino-Balkaria and the South Federal universities.
We have also cooperation agreements with Abkhazian University in Sukhumi.
We are friends with North Ossetia and South Ossetia universities.
Sometimes universities are wiser than politicians who think that borders separate us.
We have no borders; we have proved it and will continue to prove.
Universities are young people, i.e. the future of the countries.
Nobody has a right to impose his vision on the future, as the future should determine itself.
It is our common goal.
