Hello, my name is Hector Inga, owner of Lane Four Swim shop in Austin, Texas. I've been
asked to talk to you about how to adjust swim goggles. I know a lot of people have trouble
with that. And, when you come into our shop, we show you how to do this. We have goggles
that are...have a fixed nose piece so there's no adjustment on this side. However, there's
adjustment on the straps. Some are easier than others. This one is a real easy one.
You would just lift up the leveler, over here, and pull the strap. And then put 'em on, and
if you need to pull 'em a little tighter, all you do is pull 'em. While you have 'em
on your face, just pull the strap and that'll tighten them up. This is, once again, one
that has a fixed nose piece. We do have other goggles that come with either interchangeable
nose pieces, or nose pieces that you can't adjust. This one is one that you can adjust.
This is the View...Vissure Metallic. This one, for instance, what you do to adjust the
nose piece, you would turn it. It will come out of the little socket. And it has a couple
of O rings, which you will adjust either to make 'em bigger or smaller. And then just
place that piece back into the bridge, and that nose piece is adjusted. Also, the strap,
this is not quite as easy as the one that I showed you before. This one would involve
taking the straps out of the clip. Adjust the size, and then put the clips back on.
These goggles, like I said, they're also anti-fog, they're UV protected, and it's really just
a matter of getting used to adjusting the goggles. However, once you adjust 'em to what
you need, you leave 'em like that and you don't have to worry about 'em any more.
