Reem
Your Excellency, I, for the first time, will not ask a question.
I just want to say something in front of the media.
I am a Bahraini citizen, my father is sunni and my mother is shiite.
Marriage and co-living is part of our community's culture.
We do not discriminate. I am not sectarian.
I love my country to the bone.
I am an independent reporter.
I love my country and give my all to it.
We believed His Highness and we voted on the National Charter.
What happened in Pearl Roundabout is a massacre, your excellency
Excuse me, and I say it in front of the local and international media.
I don't want to humiliate anyone.
What I saw is unbelievable.
What is happening in Salmaniya Hospital is unbelievable.
We need blood.
We need to tend to the injured.
I don't want to take too much of your time.
Excuse me,
My loyality is for my country.
We do not want to change anything.
All we hope is just to have a voice.
And to be part of the reform.
Believe me Your Excellency,
and to all members of the royal family.
I wrote this over and over again.
What is the problem?
Is it trust?
Why? Why?
Is there a problem with the government and royal family with the people?
Why is there descrimination?
Please Your Excellency
Excuse me, Excuse me
When I saw that scene and the injured
and people falling on the floor
Excuse me, I am shaking right now.
I am in mourning with my country
and I am saying with this voice
I am, politely, I urge His Highness to save this country.
And I plead to GCC countries for what happened today.
Why? Why is an army in an Arabian Gulf country? Why?
Excuse me, I am not talking as a Journalist.
I want to say: WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
Does the problem require an army and armies
from neighboring countries and the world?
We did not sleep from 3 AM Your Excellency!
Shame on You (Haram!) Shame on You (Haram!)
I hope from the bottom of my heart for this to be solved.
I'm sorry I took too much of your time.
Thank You.
If you'll excuse me Your Excellency Shaikh Abdulla
No army came ..
I just want to stress a point
No army came from any Arabian Gulf country.
What happened was a control of order from Bahrain Defense Force.
Control of order on an area.
Not the army.
And never the Army of Bahrain or Bahrain Defense Force pointed a weapon
I can't accept the implication that they pointed a weapon at citizens.
This is the countries army. It protects the country.
It protects the country's properties and citizen and blood.
I hope that the views of Bahrain Defense Force, this honorable force,
in this way. Please.
The issue here is that what happened is an attempt to evacuate the roundabout.
I hope you do not look at it in a political context
as a trust issue. There is no trust issue.
When was there a trust issue between the government?
The people of this country are generous.
And there is always a shared political activity.
Which has progress as well as obstacles.
I hope that we don't feel that in this critical period
This critical period, which I implore you to connect it
to a series of events, which lead to a death,
This is not a simple thing.
It lead to a shock for the entire country.
But, It was not based on any basis or predetermination or anything
or it is a matter of trust.
There is trust. Trust has been shared by the ruler and ruled.
And the people affirmed it in more than one occasion.
The people have voiced their opinions more than once.
And I stress that the loyality of the people are known.
The people's opinion have been taken,
I don't want to mention how many times. The survey in the seventies.
And now the National Charter, the people's opinion was taken.
First elections, people's opinion was taken.
Second elections, 67%, the people's opinion is known and kept.
There is no issue of trust.
But, there could be some "accidents" which lead
in one way or another, to a "regrettable event"
which we are facing right now.
And I am not undermining the event.
But, I have no doubt that we, with the leadership of His Highness
which you dedicated your word to
are capable of enduring this ordeal.
