hi everybody, this is Yoely Klein here and i would like to show you how too
use Gliphs
and special characters in
Microsoft word
and in
photoshop
i'm sure there's several different ways to do it, but this is how I do it, first
let's get a good font for glyphs and i love
Font-Awesome you can download it,
save it
and
I only use the font, I don't use the whole system so
you can do wherever you want, It's a great font full of icon and stuff
in fonts you have
uh...
Font Awsome OTF
and font awsome TTF
I alredy installed it, so you can still it right-click
on it
and hit Install It will install if it's not installed (already)
ones it's installed
open
Microsoft Word
And in the "Insert" panel
you are going to have a
option of Insert Symbol
and basiclly it will
you just hit "more symbols"
and change it to the right font, in our case it's Font-Awesome
so go to F
Font awsome
it will give you a whole array of all Gliphs that you can use,
just doubleclick
and it will enter it
it's just like fonts, vector or whatever
you can scale it and it's pretty good
so that's just a few
Lets take
a filled heart
and a
camera
a telephone symbol
I'm going to close it
and basiclly this is regular fonts if you go to fonts and change the size
you can actually change the size
just as a regular font
what i will do now is just copy it open PhotoShop
Text tool
paste
Gliffs
That you just copied from Microsoft word
It's regular text
copy and paste them
uh... make sure that photoshop is also set on font awesome
if it's on a deffrent font it will not show
to use it on
websites you just simply have to know the actual
hex codes or unicode whatever it's called ISO code
in the font-awsome website
you can get the Hex code, or UNI code
