also for many years we've been talking about the Koran burning pastor Terry
Jones
from the Dove World Outreach Center a couple years ago Lewis I'm sure you
remember we actually interviewed Terry Jones
I think it was talk but 2011 when he was gonna be burning Kyron's on the and on
the 10-year anniversary
%uh 911 and it now turns out that
again with the plan this time he planned to burn yesterday
2,990 8 keratins
at Polk County Park to mark the 12-year
anniversary each car on was meant to represent one of the victims
every person who was murdered by Islam according to one of his news releases
so up he's been arrested he was arrested on his way to this event where he was
going to burn the Koran
it is not a free speech issue he was not arrested
simply for burning Kyron's although let's be very clear
that while it is not illegal to burn an ebook
if it is being done in a way that is intimidate or E or inciting violence you
actually there you couldn't you get arrested for anything if it falls under
that
umbrella that's not what he was arrested for this is not a free speech issue
he was arrested because he was caring
it's very weird he was driving with kerosene
in a barbecue grill which is against the law that's what's being reported by
the local by by local news there I
you know I that's what I thought about this situation it kinda crack me up
I mean I and I am of course angry and I think the guys at despicable guy but
I'm picturing this fool with his propane he's got a kerosene tank and you've got
he's got all these keron copies that are drenched in kerosene
and he's getting arrested in probably muttering under his breath what the hell
is going on here
there is something a little bit funny about the entire situation when you
picture
definitely there is no I I think this guy's a complete moron
I think law enforcement were probably just thinking to themselves
are we gotta get this guy on something what can we get them for well that that
that's actually interesting that you say that because a lot of people do feel
that this was let's just figure out what we can arrest him for to detain him
and I got one email am assuming that there's other people who feel the same
way who think
if you're going out if police are going out of their way
to simply use it what some described as
over criminalization to detain the guy
and prevent him from expressing his free speech or whatever the case may be
that that's actually not the way police should be should be operating at that
actually
something wrong that they did and other people think that it's great that that
that police said okay we're not going to violate free speech rights but we are
gonna figure out if he's doing anything illegal by the letter of the law
which side do you come down on Lewis well I do think generally that that
would be wrong of course if it came down to me and I would be furious 6
if a police officer I just tried to figure out any way possible to to have
me arrested or detained
I to prevent me from doing something else obviously that's
its not the way to go send me your thoughts on this I have a feeling our
audience will have
conflicting views about it
