Let's talk about the structure of Tri County basketball.
uh... The leagues are made up of American leagues and National leagues.
And in each league there's a red division
a blue division and a white division
the american leagues are designed for kids that have had a little bit more exposure
to the game. Maybe are a little bit more talented at this point in time
so that they have a great competitive experience
and on the flip side the national league is designed for players that are a little
bit newer to the game
maybe they haven't physically developed like other kids yet umm and it gives
them an opportunity to be competitive with players at their skill level at
this point in time
This is one of the most frequently asked questions that we receive in regards to
Tri County basketball
uh... "..we requested this league and we were placed in this league.."
we can only run a league
uh...
with six to eight or nine teams
uh... so that teams have home and away games with everybody
uh... if we have two or three teams requested in a league obviously we can't run a
league with that number of teams and we have to combine it with some teams from
some other levels just above or just below.
So one of the most common questions we get is in regard to help and recover
defense
and how to define it so that people don't think that they're in a zone or
that they're double teaming or that they're switching screens and we found a
couple of links or videos that do a great job of explaining exactly
what we mean when we talk about help and recover defense. Coaches if you'd like
