Today on our 2011 Honda CR-V, we're going to install the draw tight hitch, part number
75547. This is what the hitch will look like once it's installed. Here are few measurements
that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the
hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is three inches. From the top of the
receiver tube to the ground is fifteen inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories
such as a draw bar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier.
Now let's go ahead with the installation. Before we can install our hitch, we're going
to need to lower the vehicle exhaust. To do this, we're going to remove the two rubber
isolators holding the muffler. To remove the rubber isolators, we'll spray each one with
a little spray lubricant; this will help with the removal and re-installation. Then you
can take a pry bar
or
pliers and
remove
the inside isolator and then the outside isolator.
