At the and of the last episode,
I talked about two company, Airbus and Boeing as two eternal rivals.
Today some more about it.
Boeing work for a long time.
It started in 1916,
And it's best known for production millitary aircrafts.
Eg. bomber B-52.
Airbus is a much younger company, started in 1970.
It's best known for passengers aircrafts,
But it made also some millitary aircrafts, like CASA.
However today we don't care about millitary aircrafts.
We'll be comparing passenger aircrafts of Boeing and Airbus.
So, the first Airbus model was A300 from 1972.
It had to be probably a response to the Boeing 727,
Which was created almost 10 years earlier.
Only difference was arrangement of engines.
In B727 - on tail, but in A300 - on wings.
A300 also could take much passengers on deck than 727.
Boeing starded making its 737 family in 1968.
Today Boeing 737 is most popular passenger airctaft in the world.
Airbus started making its a320 family...
(wich consist also of A318, A319 and A321)
...in 1984.
If we're talking about long-haul aircrafts,
Boeing started produce it in 1982.
And there are B757, and B767.
An Airbus response was A330, from 1987.
Also in this year, Airbus started produce model A340, wich has 4 engines.
And chased Boeing, which response until 1993 with model 777.
Which is the largest aircraft with only two engines.
By the way, engines used in 777, are the largest,
which has ever used in plane.
Next are only technical innovations or Dreamliners.
There are of cours Boeing 787, and Arbus response, A350.
The first A350 has to put to use in 2014.
But moment, we forgot something!
Of course, 747 is the largest passenger aircraft of Boeing.
It was made in 1969, and Airbus response until in 2002.
Response, building model A380, which is the largest passenger aircraft in the world.
But about A380 I can talk by hours,
So whole next episode will be about A380.
I invite You now, Thank you for Your attention,
and hear You later.
