Welcome back to Expert Village. I am going to show you a few stretches you can do with
the neck. This is one that really helps, because it pulls on the spine. We did this earlier
when we were warming up, but I want to show you the right way to do it, so you are not
putting a lot of pressure on the neck. We are going to go underneath the neck. You will
feel a large bony area. It's going to be right where your shoulder blades are. It's right
there. It's one of the largest bones of the spine. That's where you want to stop touching
the spine. If you want to feel it, but that's it. You want to go along side the spine, up
into the neck. The occipital -- remember, that's the point that you can't go any further
as far as the spine is concerned. The rest goes into the skull. You just want to pull
and relax. If you want to get a better footing, put one foot forward and one back. Once again,
the shoulder blades. Feel for that little boney area. That is the C7. Go along the neck
and pull and relax. Once again, underneath -- feel for the shoulder (boney area) and
pull up; stretch. Relax.
