Hey guys, my name is Tim Schmoyer. It's time to do some Q
and A. Video Orchard asked this question in one of our previous
videos this past week. Hey Tim, would it be possible for you to
make a video on how to get more likes to your Facebook page?
Well I am certainly not an expert on this, but I can tell you
what I've been trying to do here at Video Creators anyway, and
that's just like incorporating Facebook into a lot of my videos,
not all of them obviously, but if I post something on my Facebook
page that I want you guys to know about, uh, I will say like. "Hey,
you know, a lot of you guys who are fans of our Facebook page
already know this, but for the rest of you go check out what I
posted there." Another thing that you can do is offer some more
like exclusive video content on your Facebook page, like upload
it directly to the page, and then maybe at the end of one of your
videos say, "Hey, see, and a bonus tip on this idea or to see
behind the scenes" or, you know, just something that kinda
continues the content that they've already watched and
appreciated. You can then point them to your Facebook page where
they can get that video and see it there. You could also maybe
think of some features and things that you can do on Facebook
that you can't really do here on YouTube. Like for example let's
say you wanna start a discussion about something in your niche.
You post it there on Facebook and you get the discussion kinda
going, and then you start highlighting some of those discussions
with some of those comments from people who are, who have already
liked your Facebook page on your next video. Another thing that
I do on the Epipheo channel that works really well is I will ask
a question related to the video before the video goes live on the
Facebook page. Like so maybe for this example I would ask, you
know, "Hey, how do you guys use video to drive likes to your
Facebook page?" And I would get a bunch of comments there, and
then at the end of this video I would take, uh, include
screenshots of other people's responses on Facebook and include
them maybe down on the bottom or at the end of the video to kinda
highlight other community reactions, responses to like the
question I'm answering right here. And what I found there is
like we don't even actually push anyone to Facebook, but they
just kinda automatically recognize like, "Oh, that looks like a
Facebook comment," and they, we always see like a little spike in
our Facebook likes every video that we do something like that.
Another thing that you could try, and actually personally haven't
done this but I've seen other people do it is to offer some sort
of incentive that they can only get through liking your Facebook
page. There is a couple different tools out there that you can
use, like if you wanna make an eBook or a resource or something
that people can only download after they go to your page, and
after they click the like button, then the download becomes
accessible to those people. If you search Google you can find
plenty of those types of tools that will let you do that. So
maybe that could be helpful for ya. Personally I would rather
collect email addresses like I am right now for my upcoming
eBook, The Secret to Growing your YouTube Audience, and if you
want that eBook be, before, like before it hits anyone else -
it's not out yet, but if you want it the link is as below, and,
yeah, you can go sign up for it and become a Video Creator Insider
and get that eBook, and that's kinda what I personally, I think,
you know, collecting email addresses where I can personally
engage with you rather than hoping like on a Facebook page that
someone just sees it, because without paying money every single
time to like highlight my post, you know, that just kinda becomes
annoying. But like I said, I'm definitely not an expert at any
of this. These are all just kinda things I'm trying and
experimenting with that I've just kind of thought of, so I know
some of you guys are probably way more experienced at this than I
am. So comment below. How do you use your videos to send more
likes to your Facebook fan page? How does that work for you?
What have you seen work? What suggestions, ideas do you have for
Video Orchard and for me and for the rest of us? We'd love to
learn from you guys, so comment below, and if this is your first
time hanging out, please subscribe. We do Q and A every week,
and we do Video Creators like ideas and advice every week, and we
cover YouTube news and what those changes mean for us as
Video Creators and all that kinda stuff and a lot more I have got
