Hi! I'm Ray and I work at IKEA as an interior designer.
Today I want to show you a very unusual space.
This space is 40 square meters. It sleeps six people.
It can be used as a summerhouse or a student accommodation.
In a small space it's very important to use the vertical space.
And we've created three sets of bunk beds.
Each with their own personal space.
We've also got some nice storage under the bunk bed.
And we've also used a curtain for privacy.
Around the corner here we've got a reading area and a music area.
This is the heart of the home. The dining table.
And this dining table is extendable.
It can be used for entertaining and it can be used for work.
Then we can move around into the kitchen.
So, yeah, this is a busy kitchen. Lots of people living here-
-so we decided to use open storage so people have easy access to things.
Here, we've got a rail system with hanging utensils.
So, again, people can grab stuff really quickly.
Over here, we've got a storage unit using the vertical space.
With lots of stuff, easy access, people can find things quickly.
Here, we've built around the column, so we've got good storage cupboard space-
-and we've got a lovely chopping area. Around on the back of the column-
-here we've got two notice boards to organise communication.
And here we've used two magazine racks to organise mail.
And now we go into the hallway.
So, with so many people living in a small space-
-the hallway has to be very well organised.
Here we've used the same shelving units that we used in the kitchen.
Everyone has their own space with boxes labelled on the shelves.
Here we've got, again the same unit, with waste boxes. And this is good-
-because we can take it out quickly from the hallway.
A long shelf with boxes that store hats or scarves and gloves.
We've got a row of hooks for everyone.
Here we have a bench for taking off shoes.
And underneath the bench we used for the shoes.
And that's about it, so bye from me.
