Hi, my name is Trisha Oslon. I have recently accepted a new role with
Rockwell Collins
as manager ethics and business conduct and the corporate ombudsman.
Over the past 16 plus years, I've held a variety of HR positions
that support one of our shared services, Operations.
This includes approximately seven years at our Coralville facility
and the remaining time in Cedar Rapids. At Rockwell Collins,
our heritage is built on trust. We build that trust with each other
and our customers every day by creating and maintaining a culture that values
integrity. Our standards of business conduct are at the heart of
that culture and unite all Rockwell Collins employeess
no matter where they are for what they do. I think the role the Ombudsman is really
important to the company
because it involves a responsibility of promoting an ethical environment
and providing a trusted source for employees to report suspected violations
of our standards a business conduct. All of the positions I've held with the
company
have required a high level ethics and integrity. I'm expected to uphold and
promote the standards in my new role as well.
One thing that is really important in this role
is being approachable for employees and that is something that has always been
valuable
and important to me. In my role as the HR Business Partner for Operations,
customers were able to contact me with any questions or concerns they had
matter how big are small. Another thing that is critical in this role
is being objective and fair. This has been a requirement in previous
positions I have held in both labor
and employee relations and I'm confident this is the strength I will bring to the
Ombudsman role.
I've had the pleasure to work with many employees at all levels are the company
for the past 16 plus years and I look forward to continuing to build
relationships with employees
in this new role. As we grow our company
we must uphold the processes that have supported our foundation of
ethics and integrity. One of these is having a central place where employees can ask
questions
and bring forward concerns. Regardless of where employees are located
they should have access to our ombudsman resources. I'll be working with the
corporate team and Cedar Rapids
as well as our regional and international focal points
to address employee questions and investigate suspected violations
of our standards a business conduct. I also want to remind employees
we have a non-retaliation policy and that is something that we take very
seriously.
Our goal is to create an environment where employees can come
to us with questions or to share concerns without fear of retaliation.
Employees have several options for contacting the Ombudsman office.
The ombudsman page on Rockwell Collins online provides local
international and toll-free phone numbers our email address
and a link where employees can submit their concerns and anonymously
if they choose. As Rockwell Collins employees
we all have a responsibility to act ethically
professionally and respectfully. I am very honored
to be a part of this team and I look forward to working with employers
throughout the company
to ensure we uphold our standards of business conduct every day.
