Alright, so changing the baby's diaper with a flat is the first thing I do before my laundry.
Okay. And I always give her a toy because it just kinda helps make the experience better
and buy myself a little time. Alright, so I've got my bucket down here which I've started
using just recently. And apparently my other covers are still on my hanging octopus thing.
But here's how I fold the diaper. Basically, fold it for the length and width. She's busy
playing with her toy so I'm good. And then I fan out the top so I've got my diaper. Just
put it here in the bucket, undo the snaps first for washing. Don't get any toys in your
diaper. That's kind of a joke. I ironed my flats the other day and it was harder to get
the Boingos on there. But now they're kind of messed up again, scrunched up and stuff
so we're good on that. Now just put the cover on. Okay so my first step is a cold rinse.
So now that I'm done doing my initial rinse I need to make sure I've got of all my flats
apart so like this was our double flat for last night so I'm just pulling these apart.
Okay so now that I have them all pulled apart, I could've done this, I could have drained
it first but now I'm just gonna drain out that first initial rinse and just get as much
of it as I can out. Alright so now I want to do my hot water and I have my laundry detergent
ready. Just like ever so small an amount. So I'm just gonna put that in and I only fill
it up as much as I absolutely have to so I don't have a bunch of extra water usage. If
I was camping I'd just heat this over a stove and then put it in. Okay so I did that for
just a couple minutes and now I'm going to rinse out my hot water with the detergent.
One thing that's kinda nice about the mobile washer is that you can kinda squeeze a lot
of the water out and then rinse it better. So now I've got that drained and I'm gonna
do a cold water rinse. Alright, last rinse. Alright so I've got my last rinse done. I'm
gonna drain it then I'm gonna wring it. Okay so now my diapers are nice and clean. So what
I like to do is give them a good squeeze to begin with, open it up, fold it in half, fold
it in half again, fold it in half again, and then twist it. And that's the way that I've
found gets out the most water, and it's really simple. And the best part is taking the baby
outside to put everything on the line. Hold on. Whoops! We're gonna go outside. We're
gonna go outside, yeah! Okay. Alright, I decided that one way I can save time is to not have
to constantly go back to my laundry basket to get more clips. So all I have to do is
hang onto my laundry basket in one arm and clip things with my other arm. I'm all about efficiency.
