"Tonight on Media Entertainment Show we sit down with Off2Kali's Huse Madhavji and Richard Young. Where behind the laughs is a wonderful kinship."
"What would you say is the biggest challenge about working on the show?"
"Challenge working with Richard?
In Off2Kali? There is no challenge at all. The guy is a dream to work with."
"I would say 'blessed' is the kind of word I would use to describe
being around Huse. It is. A blessing."
"Obviously I'm just gushing over this guy."
"If there's one thing I can say---(Phone goes off)--I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I should have turned this off.
Oh. It's my agent.
Can you just hold on for a second?"
"He's just one of those rare gems---(Phone goes off)--to work in the industry. I'm sorry, I'm just going to get this."
"I got an audition for a US pilot. (EXCLUSIVE!)"
"I'm sorry. I have an audition.
It's a pretty big one actually. (DOUBLE EXCLUSIVE!)" "I never got one but I've been building towards it.
It's called 'Horizons'. Have you heard of it?"
"Horizons. I don't know if you've heard of it. It's supposed to be pretty good." "Oh. I think Richard Young is
going out for that as well."
"Sorry, Richard's going out for it?"
"Huse is...
Huse is going for 'Horizons' too?" "Yeah."
"Oh.
That's cool."
"I could see maybe why they would bring him in.
I mean, sure. I guess they're looking at actors of all different levels."
"I mean--" "No, no. That's alright. I mean...
Another lead on another major show. Three times a charm, right?
Wow."
"It takes a certain type of acting
caliber to deliver the goods, like, you know? I mean the kind of training I've
received as a thespian, I don't even call myself an actor."
"Huse plays up emotions, right? He plays it up here, a superficial level, alright? Who's down here?
Who's in the cockles, alright? Richard. Richard is full of cockles."
"I'm supposed to be talking, jumbling up my words, this is Richard Young, it's exactly what Richard Young sounds like.
He's constantly-- How is anybody going to understand a single word that he says?"
"When we have auditions, and he wants to run lines with me, I have to describe every word of what's
going on. He's like, 'What's going on here Richard?' And I read it and I'm like,
'He's opening a door.'"
"This is my impression of him hitting on a girl:
'Hey!
Sorry Huse, can you help me pick up this girl, I'm going to go to the corner over there.'
And I got to do all the work for him." "Huse thinks he's going to take this away from me? He's going to take my opportunity? Huh?"
"You think Richard's a good performer?" "It's time for you to sunset and
Richard to sunrise."
"You want to bring it in the right with me, Richard Young?" "Bring it!" (THE AUDITION)
"Hey guys, let's have you both come in. This is Richard and this is Huse. Guys, this is R.J. Wells, he's the producer of 'Horizons'. He has to catch a flight in a couple hours so we were hoping that you guys could audition together."
"Together? Sure." "Yeah." "Great, thanks."
"We're going to do Scene 3."
"Past this dialog."
"Oh. This scene." "Okay." "And...action."
"Here comes the terrorists." (ARABIC TERRORIST SCREAMING)
"Thanks guys." "I'm sorry, did you want to see any of the other scenes?" "There's a couple of, um..." "Dialog..."
"No, that's great. Thanks a lot for coming in guys."
"Okay, thanks." "Cool."
"Have a safe flight." "Good luck with the project. Really."
"You guys look great. Thanks." (MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT SHOW FOLLOW UP) "That was terrible." "Yeah."
"I totally nailed it though." "Oh shut up!"
