I just thought this would fit well into this room .. this suite.
I bought the replicas you can see here at the auction house ..
.. simply because I didn't want to have rip-off lights in here.
Of course, this is being varied with so-called 'fakes'.
These little desks are not real furniture, these are copies ..
.. and are being pieced together with this old cupboard for instance.
And, yes of course .. a crucial piece of furniture:
Vienna is known for its chandeliers.
This is an old chandelier, again from the auction house.
Mrs. Elisabeth Gürtler herself furnished and arranged all rooms and suits individually ..
.. always trying to transfer the Hotel's prestigious history into the present needs.
Depending on size, rooms are available from 350 to 4300 Euros a night.
To meet fire protection regulations, sensitive fire detectors are intalled in all rooms.
In case of a false alarm, Sprinklers would destroy the precious antiques and furnitures.
Noteworthy furniture can be seen throughout the Hotel.
The Gürtler family owns one of the largest private collections of Austrian art.
The Sacher Hotel, almost a museum you can live in.
