New reports from KPMG, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and a renowned employment
website have shown conflicting predictions of the UK job market. According to this research,
job growth may be increasing throughout the country. However, there is also increased
competition for existing jobs at the same time.
KPMG has reported that permanent job placements have fallen slightly over the past month.
At the same time, the number of vacancies has increased by more than 5% over the last
quarter from last year. This suggests that employers are likely to increase headcounts
in the coming months.
