Most of us know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and our goal is,
when we get breakfast in everyday it's going to help supply our body with lots of good
energy along with help jump start what we like to call our metabolism, which helps our
body use and burn more of its calories more effectively throughout the day. In general
when we think about good healthy breakfast we want to make sure we get two important
foods. We want to make sure, we at least incorporating good source of carbohydrates along with a
good source of protein. Some good source of carbohydrates in the morning, try to choose
a lower sugar cereal, in general we can try to aim to keep our cereal under eight grams
of sugar, and aim for three to five grams of fibre every single day, is going to help
make it more filling and more satisfying. With our cereal we want to make sure we're
combining that with some protein, that protein could just be your low fat milk that you would
add to your cereal, it could even be something like a low fat yogurt cup that you may have
also with our cereal in the morning.
Some other good choices for breakfast could be just picking up piece of fruits and having
yogurt with it, or piece of fruit and drinking glass of low fat milk, so either choosing
one percent or skim milk. In the morning for breakfast, if we could try to get two to three
food groups every single day and make sure we're combining a good source of carbohydrates
with a good source of protein.
