Howdy folks hows it going welcome to my *** kitchen today i'm showing you how to make
a salmon kedgeree - good times. Looks amazing right and trust me it's the
sort of dish you don't want to eat you want to pick it up - do you ever get dishes like
that when you want to pick it up and just throw it all over yourself just work it in
and be happy sorry about that it's just raining random objects today if you want to have a
go at making this hit pause on the video now write all these ingredients down this is how
you do it. Right so first up we're gonna get our eggs
on to boil so get a pan of cold water and sit your eggs in there just let it bring up
to temperature and bubble away for a good ten minutes to hard boil them you might notice
my eggs add this little bits of paper on them when I bought them when I took them out or
tried to some of them broke so it was a little bit minging so I will be making a complaint
about that, Whilst our egg is cooking away grab a separate
pan with cold water again and crumble in a stock cube bring that up to a simmer before
dumping in your rice and just cook that to package instructions that vegetable stock
cube flavour is gonna do this that's like a mingling face it's gonna mingle in that
rice which is nice sorry. Right so next up we're gonna work on our salmon
so I don't have a salmon pond in my garden i'm not gonna reel one in I got it from a
fishmonger or you could get yours from a supermarket whatever you want to do give it a good rub
ideally kedgeree is used with curry powder but I used some chilli powder so just being
a bit creative and making things happen 'I don't see nothing wrong with a little salmon
rub' do that cut it into chunks put it to one side, meanwhile grab yourself a pan a
little bit of olive oil in there and your chopped onion just pour that in there let
it sizzle away for a few minutes and then we'll add the salmon in any minute now.
Right so with your onions starting to soften after around about 5 minutes push in the salmon
let it join that pan party of loving just work it all around and then eventually you're
gonna start to break it down and flake it with your spatula it'll love it it will love
it in there and you will love it too. So it's having a lovely time in there and
what you want to do is pour in your cooked rice your peas your rice and peas your little
bit of coriander that's been chopped up chuck it all in there and just simply warm it through
so meanwhile what you can do is just take off the shell off your boiled eggs chop up
some more coriander wedge up your lemon and lime and just bring it together baby.
Then all you want to do is serve it up with your rice your eggs a little bit of parmesan
just to twist it up because we are so creative coriander you can freshen it with some lemon
and lime juice if you want and it tastes amazing just like my R Kelly moment my mind is telling
me no but my body is telling me yes today it's 'whooo my love, my kedgeree I hunger
for your taste' hmmm so good, so juicy so tender so zesty it's a little mild so if you
want yours stronger add as much or as little seasoning as you like go to town on it love
it and it'll love you back like I say if you enjoy this video don't forget to give it a
thumbs up share subscribe comment good good good good times and i'll see you again next
time.
