Liquor liability or as us lawyers like to refer it as the dram shop case. A dram shop
case is where someone is negligent and they furnish alcohol to either a minor or a visibly
intoxicated person. It could be a bar, a restaurant, it could even be a home owner, someone who
is having a cookout in their back yard and they furnish alcohol to someone who is visibly
intoxicated knowing that there is a chance they may get behind a wheel of car. Usually
we will bring these cases if there is not enough coverage from the person who is at
fault or the drunk driver or the owner of the car that the drunk driver was operating
that's when we will usually look at these cases. I personally had a pretty large settlement,
one of my best settlement's we obtained almost 1 million dollars for a women that was seriously
injured from a drunk driver and what we did was we realized that there was not enough
coverage from the drunk driver and the owner of the car so the women was seriously injured.
So we had found out that the drunk driver was visibly intoxicated from a restaurant
and had been served alcohol. One of the largest settlements that I personally have had regarding
gentleman was visibly intoxicated at a restaurant, he had been served alcohol and everybody knew
he was drunk, nobody asked him if he was driving a car or if someone was going to take him
home that was sober. We were able to get witness statements together and put a case together
were we obtained just under a million dollars for a women who was seriously injured. So
we have some experience handling these types of cases and if you have been injured from
a drunk driver you will be able to collect not only from their policy but if someone
either served them alcohol while they were visibly drunk or if they were a minor and
they were served alcohol to, we have seen those cases to. So feel free to contact us,
you would be able to collect for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering. We charge
no fee until you obtain a settlement or recovery, you could fill out a contact form or call
us toll free, both in confidence as we would be happy to discuss your case. Thank you.
