>> Hi and welcome to a new tutorial,
today I'll show you how to create a D.I.Y. birthday card.
First of all let's choose the patterned papers we are going to use.
I'll start with a white cardstock
and I chose to match it with
patterned papers in different shades of light blue,
another one in red,
and a last one in black.
As these are the shortest papers
I'm going to cut the white cardstock base
so that they can lay in the center.
I already measured
and I will cut following the line.
Now I mark the center
The cardstock measure 24 cm, so 12 cm...
Then using a bone folder
I trace the fold line.
Here is the card base done
Now I grab the patterned paper I chose to use
and I measure where to cut it.
I delete the pencil marks,
and as I want the lower corners to be rounded
I use a corner rounder to do the job
only in the lower part of the card
and I do the same on the patterned paper.
Now I can adhere the patterned paper on the card base.
Now using another shade of patterned paper
I want to make a paper ribbon
so I'm going to cut a stripe
2.5 cm long.
Below I will place this paper doily.
I cut the two edges like this.
I cut another 2.5cm long stripe
then I cut it by the half
and I roll it
in order to create the ribbon which I'm going to assemble this way with the glue.
I printed on cardstock some polaroid pictures which I'm going to cut out.
Now I check the assembly.
In this area I want to place this image
which I printed and coloured with Copic Markers
on a circle which I'm going to punch out
from this paper using a circle punch.
Let's start to assemble.
On the top I'm going to adhere another stripe of black paper
on which I will write the sentiment using a Dymo.
Now I take my black paper
and I measure the length.
Once more I cut the edges.
Now I put together the parts
using some dimensional stickers.
I adhere this on the circle I punched.
OK...on the top side
I would like to place a stripe
to create some contrast
So I'm going to cut this paper out.
I add some details tracing a stiched line.
and in this part which looks a bit plain I adhere some sticker pearls.
Here is the finished card
that's all for today, I hope you liked the tutorial
I will see you in my next video
Ciao!
