Colonel (Reserve) Shaul Arieli: Right at this moment, tables are opening in support of a peace initiative,
in Kiryat Shmona
in Karmiel
in Shfraram
in Um El-Kutuf
in Haifa
in Jerusalem
in Ramle
in Jaffa
in Sderot and in Beer Sheva
this is an important step in which we, the peace organizations, have combined our efforts, we have cooperated to demonstrate support in a peace initiative, and to call on both sides, Israel and Palestine, to renew negotiations, and to work with sincere intentions to resolve the conflict with a peace agreement.
Tal Harris, Executive Director of OneVoice Israel: View this as another step by you, if it's a first step, and if it's one out of many already taken, view this as another significant step, in the remobilization of the peace camp.
A.B. Yehoshua: A bi-national state would be a disaster to both us and to the Palestinians.
However, two independent states for two peoples would be able to forge a deep and rich relationship in so many fields.
We do not part with a wall of iron between us, but with a border of peace, where cooperation shall flourish between citizens of equal rights, while ensuring the rights of the minorities within them: the Palestinian national minority in the State of Israel, and the potential Jewish minority in the Palestinian State. On this opportunity I call on the Palestinian citizens of Israel to engage with revitalized efforts of the various peace organizations.
