Hello, I’m Lisa Galea Naudi, I come from Malta and I’ve just completed the masters
of Education course in autism, children.
What made you choose Birmingham?
When I was browsing on the internet to find a course which I really I wanted to do, I
found the masters of education specialising in autism which is always my... my baby, basically,
my area and it was the main university which had the course available and it’s England
and I’ve always wanted to come to England. What did you enjoy most about the University
of Birmingham?
I did distance education but I’ve come up for residential weekends and they were very
well organised and it was a great time so we had Friday, Saturday, Sunday organised
about twice a year so that means I came up here about five or six times and it was very,
very interesting, we had speech – the people who came to speak to us were very interesting
and it was a great time.
It has been an honour to be here and I feel that the knowledge and education which has
been given to us has really, really – has really fulfilled me as a person.
What are your plans now you have graduated?
Well I’m a teacher in Malta and I do plan to keep giving my input on the autism area
and thanks to Birmingham University I really feel I can give that to the children with
autism in Malta.
Do you have any advice for anyone thinking about coming to the University of Birmingham?
If anyone is thinking about coming here it is a great university, great environment,
very well organised, the lectures were very interesting and the people are very easy going.
It’s great here!
