Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I want to talk about how to write craft
articles for kids. Kids love crafts and so pretty much any idea that is fun and easy
will be really appealing to them. Start with a craft that you know is appropriate for kids
of the age range that you're writing for. Take it - break it down into steps and figure
out exactly what the kids will need to accomplishment this craft. That way you can develop a supply
list that is the super important part of writing a craft article. Once you've established what
supplies you need, break, write your steps in a clear, concise way, in language that
kids can understand, try and keep the vocabulary simple, so that kids can read it on their
own and accomplish the task on their own. About four or five steps is about the amount
you want to try and stick with, so when you're choosing your craft make sure it's something
that can be broken down into a pretty simple process. Photographs are really helpful with
a craft, because you might need to have some visual information to help kids understand
what the instructions say. So the more photographs you can use with really helpful information
about what this step is about the better. So, to just wrap it up, some of the things
you need to remember to write a craft article for kids is staying in - something that's
easy enough for them to do. Get a good supply list together. Break it down into four or
five easy to accomplish steps and use photographs to make it easier to understand.
