After 13 years was the deal finally finished.
One of Sweden's most expensive TV sets changed owner-
-from the company Thorn to the man Dan Johnsson.
-Good day! -Hello!
-How does it feel to be the owner to the probably most expensive TV in the area?
-I don't know. I think I have been scammed.
Let me see that super-TV...
Is that the TV?
In 1998 went Dan to the company Thorn and rented an ordinary TV-
-with a video recorder and TV bench.
Nothing special, just a ordinary TV.
He has payed for the TV for 13 years, without any price regulations or whatsoever.
Until today he has payed 48 828 SEK for the TV.
-I was shocked when I heard about it.
-What did you think? -I don't know. I was just shocked.
-How does the video recorder work? -Not that good. I haven't used it for 7-8 years.
50 000 SEK for all these things.
Have you thought of what you could buy in a TV-store today for all that money?
I guess I could buy as many TV sets that I want to.
-16 000 SEK for this one. -You could have bought 3 of those.
Can you help us? We are looking for a groovy TV.
Here we have a LED-TV in size 55".
It has a sharp picture and full HD technique with 3D functionality.
-What does it cost? -It costs 19 595 SEK.
The company Thorn does not seem to have any depreciations on their agreements.
Dan's contact person Simon terminated the contract when he realized the situation.
But Dan still had to pay the rent until the contract ended, and he also had to send the TV back to Thorn.
-Seriously, how does it feel to have got 50 000 SEK for an old TV?
-We have not done it that way. We have had a rental agreement with Dan-
-so he can have a TV during the rental period.
But he was payed 48 828 SEK for an old TV. Do you think that it is fair?
He has not payed for the TV, he has rented it. There is a difference between buying and renting.
I think it is reasonable to pay the price in the rental contract.
