For my protein shake or like smoothie/protein shake I have my very favorite recipe and um
it's really simple I use a banana and then I use some sort of frozen fruit usually like
frozen mango or frozen strawberries, or like a berry medley. Um usually frozen so that
um the drink is nice and cold. So I have the fruit and then I use a protein powder which
has all sorts of vitamins this one contains spirulina and it's Spiru-tein and this one
is the whey protein. If it doesn't say whey on it then it's the soy based and I try um
to eat as little soy as possible it just doesn't mix very well with me and so they have all
sorts of different flavors too. I know for the whey protein I believe they have the chocolate
and strawberry one in addition to this vanilla one. So I take a scoop of then and then I
have the fruit and then the milk. So whether it's rice milk, almond milk, cow's milk, or
um coconut milk. And the one that has the most foam, not foam but like fluffiness to
it is um this one the So Delicious. This is a coconut milk, but it doesn't taste like
coconut at all this is the unsweetened one, it's 50 calories a serving, it's organic and
uh it whips up really nicely because this powder whips up really nice so it's like this
nice fluffy whip. The banana adds weight and the fruit adds a freshness to it. It's not
too sweet either this stuff is not that sweet which is good because I don't like things
that are too too sweet um generally. And then I use a blender for it, there are ways where
there's just these two together are really nice, really good. There's an option where
you can put it in this container or whatever container and shake it up but I feel like
it doesn't taste as good like the consistency, like the mixture and stuff is not as good
as when they are combined in a blender. Okay so fruit protein and then a milk and another
thing that I do that I have been doing recently is I have been using um I've been using up
this meal, it's an organic meal replacement formula and it's raw vegan, organic, gluten
free, dairy free, no soy allergens, no synthetic nutrients, no preservatives etc. Um and it's
really good quality and I really like what's in it. It's got lots of fiber, lots of protein,
um and uh it's really nice. I am not a vegan and I am not a vegetarian even though I eat
vegan and vegetarian a lot and I have um generally a plant based diet but I am not a vegetarian
so and I am not a vegan so. But I do like this. I like the quality of it and everything.
The only thing though is that um, is that it has a little flavor to it that I would
rather mix with something instead of just drinking it by itself. Generally I don't have
a problem with vegetables or sprouts or fruit or anything I don't feel the need to mask
the flavor, I can eat just about everything that can be comfortably consumed raw as well
it it doesn't matter but for some reason this stuff has a little flavor to it, so I have
been adding one scoop, um like half a scoop..kind of, um as opposed to I believe it's the two
scoop, I believe it's two scoops for a serving to my protein shake and then I have vegetables
and stuff and then it turns into a complete meal. Yeah that is basically what I do it's
not that sweet but it is sweet, like it has a very gentle sweetness like the end result
from the fruit and then the light sweetness from the protein powder. I feel like the protein
powder, out of all the different protein powders that I've had this protein powder is, it's
really good it tastes like a milkshake like a gentle milkshake as opposed to drinking
it and thinking 'oh I am drinking protein powder" it doesn't feel like that, it doesn't
taste like that, it doesn't feel like that, it's got a really nice creamy consistency
to it and um and just all around good quality. So that's my milkshake uh smoothie whatever
combo, recipe.
