Restaurant Marketing - Should I buy a Yellow Pages Ad?
All right, here's a great question. Should I get a Yellow Pages ad? Well, I don't know.
Do you think buggy whips are a good investment? The truth of the matter is unless your audience
is well over 70 years old. Absolutely not, and the primary example, and this isn't just
me saying this. I think that the Yellow Pages people themselves are indicating to you that
this is a dead medium. If you have engaged one of their salespeople lately almost the
very first thing that they say to you is, "Hey, we'll make a video about your yellow
pages ad, and that will go out there, and that will be out in the Internet." The truth
of the matter is nobody can find those videos. We've seen hundreds of them. They seldom have
more than a few views even though they are on YouTube and some of the platforms. They
are the worst kind of advertising on the Internet. So Yellow Pages doesn't work, and the ads
that they create videos around for you which is by the way just a selling tool to get you
to sign up to the Yellow Pages ad, absolute waste of time, waste of money. If you have
money tied up in a Yellow Pages ad, get it out immediately. I cannot stress this enough.
There are so many better ways to spend your money.
