Welcome :)
There is an urgent question in Islam : "Is Islam based on no thinking, mind canceling and that if I will think I would be in trouble?"
Some people are saying that Islam is surrendering, canceling mind and complete submission
However, thinking could lead me to ask many questions; like questions about things happened before the creation, before the existence of the earth and people
Or questions about Islamic legislations like "fasting". Is the purpose of fasting, making me feel hungry and thirsty in order to feel the pain of poor people or it has other goals?
For example, why must I swivel 7 times around the "Kaaba" (the sacred house in Mecca)? why isn't it 6, 5 or 8?
And always I was wondering, why mustn't I ask questions? Conservative people say that we mustn't ask questions
Some people say that you are prohibiting me from asking questions because you are afraid that I will discover a specific thing or understand a specific idea
Knowing that if we think deeply a little bit, we will recognize that there are people recently converted to Islam, the last year, the year before or in the last period
So surely, these people have thought, heard a thing making them think by themselves and by this way they discovered Islam
In the over hand, there are non muslims scientists who achieved high degrees, won big rewards and invented things, and they didn't convert to Islam, on the contrary they insisted on atheism
So did their thoughts and science lead them to this? Because some people said that if Islam is based on thinking, these people shall be first persons converting to Islam
So the embarrassing question is : "Does thinking lead us to better faith or lead us to disbelief?"
During my life, I was studying and trying to win the first place. At school, I used to take high scores. Sometimes, I took the first place sometimes the second one.
My math teacher, Mr Ayman, told me that the secret of my excellence is that I was trying to understand
So this means that the rest of pupils with low scores was learning by heart
Besides, what is the difference between learning by heart and understanding?
I think the difference between them and me was as Mr Ayman said; I wasn't saying "ok, alright, well", I was saying "Why?" then "How?" then "when? Where? For what?"
But I grew up, now they qualify me as 'rowdy'
People didn't look at me as a person trying to understand. They looked at me as a one who is trying to complicate life while I could say "ok, alright, well"
It's all over, until I began to ask simple religious questions.
Why I must pay from my own money to "Zakat"? Why I must pray 5 times daily? Why isn't it 4 or 6 times? Why my God has created me with a thinking ability and people say that thinking is forbidden even for normal things like these?
I couldn't understand?
Is it true that we will disbelieve if we think?
On the contrary, meditation is required in order to deny that faith is just inherited
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) contemplated the earth
The Prophet Ibrahim contemplated the earth too
God ordered us to contemplate the earth and try to solve the puzzle, the puzzle of the manner in which creation began
God says : "[Say, (O Muhammad), "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation"] AL ANKABUT, 20"
If meditation leads to disbelief, will God order us to do it? On the contrary, He must order us to not contemplate and to close our minds to avoid disbelief
However, He ordered us to think. So surely, contemplating the earth and trying to solve the puzzle lead the person to faith and not to disbelief
God says : "[Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire] ALI IMRAN,190-191"
Quran ordered us to think by ourselves in nook and to think together
God says : "[Say, "I only advise you of one (thing) - that you stand for Allah , (seeking truth) in pairs and individually, and then give thought] SABA, 46"
Even Quran's stories, they were revealed for the purpose of taking lessons and for meditation
God says :"[So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought] AL ARAF, 176"
The more sciences the person knows, the closer to God he becomes , the more he feels fear of God
God says : "[Only those fear Allah , from among His servants, who have knowledge] FATIR, 28"
However, the more important thing is how to think, how to appreciate the mind
Because recognition has 4 types and I will tell you now what is the thinking mistake made by some atheists
Recognition has 4 types: Perception, to see some thing through vision and recognize it or to smell it or to touch it, ot to taste it... The perception
And imaginary recognition, to compare sensual image to my memory and my previous experiences
The third type is delusive recognition, it is to feel the others' feelings, i.e when I see you, I can feel your anger or your happiness...This is called delusive recognition
Persons and animals have these 3 types of recognition. The animal also recognizes through these 3 types
However the fourth type of recognition is specified just for human being, it is the mental cognition
Unfortunately, atheist is trying to eliminate the mental cognition and so to remove the quality distinguishing human being from animals
We entered debate against atheists and always they refused rational evidence saying "I would like to see God" or saying "How could I believe without seeing him"... Then they want perception
One of them said: "I would like to prepare God in laboratory"
You want the creator to be submitted to creature in laboratory !
If you want to think correctly, so you must believe in mind and its ability to recognize and that the rational evidence is stronger than the sensual one and that mind is the one correcting sense
The sense of sight sees water in the desert. The mind tells you "Don't loose your time, don't trust your vision, this is called mirage, light reflects on sands then you see water, this water doesn't exist"
Therefore the sense deceived you and the mind guided you
Atheist always refuses rational proofs and ask for material proof. But he embellishes it and calls it ''scientific evidence" while he wants material proof
Rational and logical evidence is a scientific proof? Isn't it ?
Rational and logical evidence is also a scientific proof but it isn't material
The problem is with those who believe only in seen things
In this context, I'm always saying that if we told people before 500 years that they become sick because of something called microbes, microscopic creatures that you couldn't see by naked eye, flying around you, when you smell it you will become ill, no one would believe this although it's the truth
He denies the existence of God because He is unseen and justify the existence of earth by the big *** theory
But the big *** is unseen too. Did anyone film the big ***? Was anyone present at that moment and reported to us what happened? Did anyone test the big *** in laboratory?
No one saw it but we don't deny the big ***, on the contrary the Quran has a verse that may be proves the big ***
God says: "[Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?] AL ANBYA,30 "
So the heavens and the earth were joined, then God separated them, Could this happen without an explosion? The simple tear of a trousers makes a noise so what about the sound of heavens and earth' separation! How could be their separation?
Secondly, If you will accept to believe in mind, you would know that it is limited. The mind could realise the existence of God and some of His essential qualities, understand His wisdom in some things and not in other things.
I'm a normal person, my mind is normal, could I understand the wisdom in Einstein's mind? Could I understand all what Einstein could do? I couldn't think like Einstein and I couldn't understand all his wisdom
So what about God, who is the Knowing and the Acquainted? Of course, I will understand some things and some other things will be difficult to understand, I could realise some wisdom but I couldn't realise other parts of it, of God's wisdom
And this is the most beautiful thing in knowledge, the fact that knowledge has no limits, and that the more I make researches into science, I will discover other sciences which need to be studied more and more thoroughly, and that I couldn't know all sciences
God says : "[Say, "If the sea were ink for (writing) the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement."] AL KAHF, 109"
"the words of my Lord" here means the knowledge. If the whole sea is an ink to write the knowledge of God, it would be exhausted and my Lord's knowledge wouldn't be exhausted even if we create an other sea
However, I must learn and try to understand
For that, I'm always saying that the most intelligent person is the one trying to understand everything and that the most stupid person is the one thinking that he could understand eveything
And I will explain this in the coming episodes inchALLAH but remember that the most intelligent person is the one trying to understand everything and that the most stupid person is the one thinking that he will understand eveything
Thanks for watching :)
