Basic writing skills are important for project managers for two primary reasons as I see it.
One is for communicating with team members and the staff on the project and the other is for generating
reports for key stakeholders in the project.
For the former, it's important to have strong writing skills, or at least basic writing skills so you can
communicate clear instructions to the team members
and make sure everybody's working down the correct tasks.
For the latter,
communicating with key stakeholders,
it's important to have strong writing skills so that you can give a realistic image of where the project is at any given point of time.
