Hi, I'm Laurel the fashion expert and today we're talking about shoes. Specifically platform
shoes and how to draw them. I've given some different styles of my own design and they're
just jumping off points. Try to draw these with me when I show you how to draw them but
go from your own perspective and take some points of mine and then make them your own.
These I've called sculptural platforms just because of the weird angles I've created on
them. They're going to, it's going to come from your own mind. However your hand starts
drawing, just let it go. This is what mine did and I'll show you how I got to this point.
I'll give you the steps to do it and then take them and make them your own. Start out,
well with these I started out with my platform base again because it's the part that has
the most impact. I drew in the line under my foot (not my foot but you know what I mean)
and then I decided to have this angle in. Since I'm calling them sculptural I wanted
them to have vivid, I wanted to have impact places where you look at it and go Oh Wow!
Okay that's not the norm. So I angled that part in and then I came about to the arch
of the foot and swooped it back and then created a heel and then the top part you can do like I have
three straps or let's do,
we'll do a bunch of different straps this time. It can be whatever you want it to be,
whatever your hand feels like doing just let it do it. And then, oops you got to remember,
remember if you have an ankle strap that it's got to connect to the heel. I neglected that
part right there. See you're going to have to redo it a zillion times but that's what
makes you have the best final product.
