Hello in this video I just wanted to show what I've just discovered with
Push
um, and you all know, when you are in a drum track, controlling
a Drum Rack
then you can with the
with the pads down here
You can umm, play. Here one has the stepsäq ... seq .. sequencer.
Is clear
everyone knows
uh oh and here I also show again quickly the repeat function.
Yes great.
Um,
but now I have thought to myself,
When you now for example load a new instrument, I am just pretending
as if I load a new instrument,
uh, but I just change the track, um to my guitar.
And um, I now thought, how cool would it be,
or for one thing, what a pity it is that I cannot edit the midi notes
that I've recorded, as I can do in the step sequencer, you know,
holding down the note and, you know, up here you can edit
the position and the length and note on velocity.
You somehow cannot do that when the notes has already been recorded as usual.
I found that a bit stra... stupid,
and uh, for the other thing I thought, how cool would it be if you could use
the step sequencer also at at, uh, again: use the STEP SEQUENCER
also with instruments.
And, um, yes and I was just playing around a little bit.
I now focus on Live.
So, and then I
discovered
when I click here on the guitar,
yes, that's my guitar, here you can see the input,
right mouse click,
Group To Drum Rack
Aaah, is indeed interesting.
So, what do we have here?
Ah, OK
bit disappointing. But,
We are in
in Ableton Live.
So
Open chain,
Show in- and outputs,
on what note shall this pad respond? All notes please. I mean the chain,
on what note input shall the pad respond? All! And now?
Tadaa!
And now when I uh ...
uh ...
I'll go back there if I now
hmmm hm hm hm hm hm hm
Yes, I could now, I'll just go an octave higher.
This is of course complete nonsense what I just made, so I'll
undo it, um
I delete the whole clip. Well, but what also works,
it is already a great possibility, you can use the step sequencer on every
instrument, how cool is that!
But what is also quite interesting, um
no, I'll do that now, I'll do it here.
Uuhm...
Wait, um, wait, where is he, where is he?
Here is my clip.
Um, I select it.
So.
And now I play the clip.
And I hear now, for instance...
the first note is way too...
Well, where am I?
So, there it is.
The note, it is way too long.
So I hold it down ... and ...
change the length ... eh?
Or the note on velocity,
or the position.
Awesome right?
I find it super cool.
And, uh, what you can of course do now
er, when I now go to the device, on the Drum Rack
I can now...
where is my chain?
Jaa
Ctrl + R, Ctrl + C,
Strg + R , Strg + V.
Strg + R,
own, or, uhm,
Sequencer, eh?
So,
save, uh, well,
now is a bit stupid because I still have another instance of
Live opened to record the audio,
but you know you can save that and then you can open it that way
as you want, and then you can load the guitar,
load and play the instrument as usual,
And you can play it with a Drum Rack, uhm, with the sequencer
if you want. Good thing!
