You have to trust someone
to be betrayed by them.
Truth is just a matter of perspective:
a moral I've held high throughout the entire duration of my service.
But when everything you've known turns out to be wrong, what do you do?
Do you reach for comfort? Do you fall in defeat?
Or do you fight back?
Everything you ever stood for has been changed for the worse...
and sometimes
the only way to find someone out who will
change you
is to look into their past.
This one was clean, unfathoming, loyal.
It was difficult to understand.
Someone who was one of you
your brother in arms, was playing for a different team altogether.
That someone
wept over your team's losses.
That made me realise
that when you get betrayed
sometimes that perspective
of truth is bent.
Sometimes
the only way to restore order
is to bend that truth yourself.
Sometimes
warping all perspective
is the only way
that will allow you
to truly fight back.
