So we’re here in Alice Springs at the checkpoint.
Everything went okay with the bushfires and we’ve just seen Tokai University arrived right now.
Let’s see how far away the next team is.
Okay, so the Nuon Team has just arrived here.
I’m not sure exactly what the time difference was between Tokai arriving and them.
It seems like it might be 25 minutes or so.
Obviously Tokai’s been able to increase their lead over the Nuon Team.
The conditions today are a lot better than what they were yesterday. The wind has died down,
and the temperature has remained a little bit more friendly for the solar panels as well.
Okay, so we’re here at the end of Day 3. We’re at the campsite for Tokai University.
They’re approximately 60km further along than the second place team.
They’re obviously at an excellent position at the moment, right where they wantto be,
hoping to take out the Championship for the World Solar Challenge 2011.
So we’re at the Tokai campsite, living it up in the great outdoors.
Let’s see what they’re cooking. What have you got, Sho?
We are cooking fried noodles. Special fried noodles.
The flavoring is Japanese-style with soy sauce and… something.
Mmm, sounds good.
Tastes good? / Very good.
Does it give you all the energy you need for tomorrow?
Yes!
If I drive tomorrow, this food is tomorrow’s energy.
Yeah. There you have it! We’re expecting a really tough day tomorrow for Day 4.
We’ll make sure we bring you all the action.
