This is the Fitness Fun Zone, and welcome today. We're going to have a lot of fun. What's
really terrific is, everything is in this bag. Isn't that pretty cool? Yes, but I need
a little bit of help to get our fun equipment out here today. We are actually going to start
with our jump ropes. Ashley, can you come on up? Come on up. All right. And Robin, can
you come on up? We have jump ropes in here, and could you give each group a colored jump
rope?
You back up over here, and green, back up over here, and now we're all spread out. You're
going to swing it side to side. Go ahead and try that. Okay, terrific.
Freeze! Okay, the next one is, and if it's too hard to do, we're going to cross our feet.
Ready? Just like the jump ropes, what we're learning right now is only fifteen seconds,
okay? And then it says, "Freeze", and the music stops, and what do you do? Freeze. I
love that! Freeze just like this; great job!
Okay, go to the outside line. This is the long jump. Go back to the outside lines.
Where are your jump ropes? Let's see your jump ropes! Ready? Go! ... Keep going, keep
going!
On the outside, when the music is on, you are going to jog on the outside of the line.
When the music stops, you're going to walk. When the music is on, you are going to jog
again. Now you're jogging, good! Nice and easy jog. And, freeze. Okay, if you're on
the outside, you're now doing fitness. Fitness, you're doing jump ropes. Jump ropes, you're
on the outside. Ready? Rotate!
And now you're walking!
Stand by your place. All right. Now, who knows what that plate is in front of you? Yes, everything
that you can eat healthy. That is terrific. Can someone tell me, with what we've done,
we got these neat cards, and let's see. What do I have? What do you think the green one
represents? What do you think of the green one? Think again. Vegetables, that's right!
Do you see this? We've got string beans. My goodness. And we have red. Who can tell me
what that is? Fruits, yes! And what is that? A banana! B-a-n-a-n-a-s. Okay, very good!
And we have purple, which are meat and beans for protein. And what percent of time, what
I want you to do, is fill your plate for breakfast. Now, while the other people are waiting for
their turn, you are going to be in your area, and you're going to jump rope.
